There are many things a creditor can do to secure payment of a judgment.
First, however, the creditor has to make sure it perfects the judgment lien by proper recording and registration with the state of Florida.
Once that’s done, the creditor is entitled under the law to discover the assets of the debtor. In fact, often when a judgment is entered, a paper is attached to that judgment that requires the debtor to disclose their assets.
The creditor is also allowed to take the debtor’s deposition, have them produce documents that discloses the assets owned by the debtor.
